Anyone is welcome to become a mirror for GetDeb, provided they meet the minimum requirements. If you meet them, feel free to setup a mirror, and then get in contact with me for the final setup.
Requirements
A web server, rsync client, and a minimum of 50GB space is needed.
The expected maximum traffic is 10GB/day .
Setup
Download the mirror synchronization script: getdeb_mirror_sync.sh
- Edit the script and adjust the BASEDIR variable to point to the desired location.
- Runt it once manually to create the initial mirror, this may take several hours.
- Once the mirror is complete setup a crontab job to invoke the script on an hourly basis.
Final setup
After you have the HTTP URL of the getdeb folder, email it to joao.pinto<remove>at<remove>getdeb.net and we'll add you to the list of mirrors.
